Bring your fishing poles, gear and accessories — there is a special type of ice fishing rod that you may want to consider purchasing and it can be found at most sporting goods stores for $10 and up.

Bring an ice chisel — the holes are pre-drilled on Friday so depending on the weather you may need to break open your hole a little bit. Don’t use your boots, you will get wet.
